Small Brass tone pin in the shape of a tree with the engraved Hebrew letters 'KKL'.
Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael translates to Jewish National Fund and was founded in 1901 to buy and develop land in Ottoman Syria for Jewish settlement. The JNF is a non-profit organization.
Issued: 20th c.
Dimensions: 1/2" W x 7/8" L (from tip of pin)
Condition: Age related wear.
The decorative top is fan-shaped and decorated around the edges with raised branches. The Hewbrew letters are KKL (Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael) — Jewish National Fund, founded 1901 —produced this pin as part of a fund raiser to purchase land for settlers.
If you want to wear this as a lapel pin, use a stickpin stopper on the end or weave the point back and forth through fabric until it’s tight to prevent loss. Very good vintage condition.
