This is a wonderful antique mesh purse, also commonly referred to as a mesh handbag or evening bag. This “flapper purse" dates from the 1920s. It is constructed from fine mesh soldered links. It features a "kiss-lock" closure mechanism. The frame includes a small blue sapphire-colored stone on the clasp and has a metal mesh tassel at the pointed bottom.
It is a lovely 34.4 gram purse and is ready to go to its new home! Whether you buy mine or another one, PLEASE always ask for a picture with it hanging so you can see if there is any damage to the links.
