This is a double-breasted hospital coat from the French army, dating back to the 1940s-50s.
It has markings on the lining!
The material is likely cotton linen.
The fabric has a soft, supple feel, with a high linen content.
I purchased it as deadstock and have worn it a few times. There is some minor soiling from storage, but as you can see in the images, there are no major noticeable stains or damage. Considering its age, it's in pretty good condition.
I'm selling it because it's been sitting in my closet!
