French Antique Jewelry 18k Earrings Dormeuse Vintage

Purchased from an antique jewelry shop in France.

These earrings are a "dormeuse" design, where the hook passes from behind the earlobe to the front and is inserted into the motif's hole. They are comfortable enough to wear while sleeping, and are also known as sleeper earrings.

These earrings have an Art Deco feel.

Metal: 18k (Although faded due to age, they bear the eagle head hallmark, indicating French 18k gold or higher, and a maker's mark)
Era: Circa 1920

* I have worn these earrings a few times myself, and they are in wearable condition. However, the tightness of the clasps is subjective.
